After the World War II in 1946 this military base was built near Murmansk city on the northern Russian side to protect the coastline. Now it is just abandoned and spooky-looking. Old canons and other instruments used to make the defense even better, are left behind and looking kind of rusty today.
Taking a walk among these Russian ruins you will maybe get the feeling that you are in the middle of some old war, and that any second someone is going to attack you with old canons from huge ships. Or maybe you will feel and think that the ruins look miserable, and it will awake negative feelings about weapons and wars.
Russia and USSR began the Cold War against Britain March 1946, and obviously this old military base was built to be prepared of any attacks from the British army. We can only guess what happened there, one thing is for sure; it is definitely worth seeing. Other abandoned war ruins are the Soviet Nuclear Rocket Launch Silos.
