All of these are awesome places - although I haven't been to Madame Tussard's or on the Eye (hopefully on my next trip to London!). I'm a history buff and it was amazing to me to go into the Tower (especially when I was walking inside the White Tower) and think about the fact that it was already old by the time the Americas were discovered. It was awesome to be walking where Anne Boleyn had been executed, or sit in the chapel where Elizabeth I had sat hundreds of years before.

Buckingham Palace is neat - there's a huge statue of Queen Victoria in front of it, and St. James Park in front of that. One thing about Buckingham Palace is that if the flag is up, the queen is residing there. Since the flag was up when we were there, the group I was with was talking about how funny it would be if the queen was watching the crowd - and that was when I spotted someone watching the crowd from one of the windows. Probably not the queen, but you never know!

Westminster Abbey should definitely be on this list - not only has it been the place where all the kings and queens have been crowned for centuries, it's the burial place for all sorts of great people. It's a pretty awesome place.

The great thing is, if you're in any sort of decent shape at all, you can pretty much walk between Big Ben/Westminster Abbey (actually, they're right next to each other, not hard to walk there)/Buckingham Palace/St James Park/Trafalager Square/many other interesting places, as they're all quite close.
