We all know that drugs are bad for you, but how much damage do they really make? Here you have some mugshots of drug addicts that use meth, it is part of the project “Faces of Meth” by Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office. You can see two mugshots of each person, and they show different time periods so you can see how much drugs can change your appearance in just some years or even months.
All of these drug addicts use some drug called Methamphetamine or “meth” as everybody calls it. This drug has high potential for abuse and addiction, so when you take it once there is no turning back, you are just going to take more and more. The faces of these people show what chronic abuse of this drug can do to you.
Some of them are not even recognizable because of the changes the drug has done to them. Some of them have even Parkinson’s disease. You can see the wounds in their faces and how they look 30 years older than their real age. It would be a good idea to show high school kids these mugshots so that they get how dangerous drugs are. Another thing that is worth mentioning is that once you start abusing drugs you can end up living in a tunnel like these guys.

wrong, if you try it once, you wont be hooked. there is a high addiction rate, but i do know people who have tried it and hated it. also, adderall, which is amphetamine, is used widely across the country, and yet not one seems to point out that it medical meth. i know more people hooked on that shit than meth itself.
meth is a terrible terrible drug nonetheless.

why are these people not given appropriate treatment?
its obviously in an attempt to escape the misery of their daily, unfulfilling lives that they turn to meth. you would think that they help the girls while their still cute….
but it might cost them money, and i bet their funding actually goes up the more people they push through the system…

I snorted meth recreationally on and off for about a month, then stopped taking it. It was offered to me a few months later, and I took one bump.
Meth doesn’t turn you into a monster. I can honestly say I shared some very special moments with people I am much closer with now under the influence and thanks to meth. However, I am unusually strong-willed. Meth is not a drug for the weak, as it grinds down your willpower if you are unable to stop it short.
Yet when I tell people I used to take meth, they look at me like I’m from another planet. When will the stigmatization end?
Two more things.
One, I find it amusing that we place such a huge emphasis on the evils of meth, the horrible addiction, and the horrible mental and physical effects in graphic detail, yet where is the graphic comparison and addiction rates of nicotine?
Two, meth fucks with your face because it makes you sweat a lot. And if you already are the kind of person who likes to pop zits and pick scabs, imagine how much fun that is on meth. I have a perfectly healthy face

hey, they have wounds on their faces because when meth is smoked it recrystalizes in their skin, mostly on the face because it is where the drug makes most contact internally.

adderall is NOT Meth. Here is the first line from wikipedia about adderall.
“Adderall is a brand-name psychostimulant medication composed of racemic amphetamine aspartate monohydrate, racemic amphetamine sulfate, dextroamphetamine saccharide, and dextroamphetamine sulfate”
Here is the first line about Meth: “Methamphetamine (pronounced /?m??æm?f?t?mi?n/ listen), methylamphetamine, N-methylamphetamine, desoxyephedrine, and colloquially as “meth” or “crystal meth”, is a psychostimulant of the phenethylamine and amphetamine class of drugs.”
The only association is they are both an amphetamine.
The reason these people didn’t get treatment is they didn’t go to a doctor or clinic. They have rights and the state can’t force them to get treatment unless they break the law and get caught. Then the court can send them to rehab but it’s cheaper to just throw them in jail. Probably better for them also.
The reason they have marks on their face is when they are tweecking they pick at their face and make it bleed. Meth also causes your teeth to fall out. That is what happened to the guy that is the fifth one from the top.

These people were not so attractive to begin with. They probably don’t take care of themselves either, like eating, drinking water, and getting sleep. When a person is on meth, they don’t want to or feel like doing those things. I used to use all the time and I don’t look like that. Some of those people I can tell went into face picking mode.
